The Readys is a group of ordinary people whose goal is to become extremely proficient in Self-Sufficiency and Emergency Preparedness (or SSEP). We all know that bad things can happen and will happen. Whether they’re catastrophic natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, tornadoes and hurricanes OR man-made atrocities like acts of terrorism, economic disasters, pandemics and electromagnetic pulses (EMPs).
The Readys is a rapidly growing network of frontline intelligent citizens who want to prepared themselves, their family and loved-ones for worst case scenarios (WCS). Our videos, classes and blogs are designed to act as a two-fold purpose.
The first is to teach, educate and train all phases of Self-Sufficiency and Emergency Preparedness or SSEP. From basic survival and self-sufficiency techniques like water purification and gardening, to the advance skills of hypothermia prevention and wilderness diets, The Readys learn to develop a wide range of survival, self-sustainability and preparedness skills that will aid in their ability to survive and overcome disasters.
The second purpose of The Readys is to establish a network of other Readys who can aid one another in emergency response and rescue and teach each other SSEP skills and knowledge. In addition, The Readys will help maintain a cohesive and functioning environment in bad times. Our goal is to become an infrastructure safety net that teaches citizens SSEP skills and then networks them together. The Readys are currently based in St. Charles, MO area but eventually we will spread across the country and then the world.
The Readys are also NOT Anti-government. We’re Citizen Supplement. We’ve seen in the past how red-tape and inefficiency in the government can leave the average American citizen in dire straits when it come to emergency rescue and response in cataclysmic events. The Readys was created as a stand-alone civilian entity that calls on local neighbors, schools, organizations and the entire community to learn to become SSEP, so when the next unimaginable event occurs, we don’t have to rely on the government or its sister agencies like FEMA and The Red Cross to save us. As Readys we have the skills, knowledge and man-power, along with the network and extended plans to carry on and even thrive in times of trouble. The Readys are not doomsdayers who wear camouflage and tout weapons on our shoulders. We have nothing against these types of Preppers. But the fact is 99.9% of the population can’t sell everything they own and build a bomb shelter in the country and stock it with months of rations and weapons. We are SSEP-ers. Blue and white collar suburbanites and urbanites who live in subdivisions, apartments and condos who feel we need to have the knowledge and skills it requires to make us Self-Sufficient and Emergency Prepared.
